Highland Heights has an active Children’s Ministry. We offer weekly Bible classes for children 6 months to 5th grade (Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings), a staffed nursery during services (for kids 6 months to 24 months), KidSing every Sunday evening where the children gain knowledge of the Scriptures through memorization of Bible facts, and an annual VBS every summer. Like the wise words of Solomon in Proverbs 22:6, we strive to train our children up in the Lord and give them a firm foundation on which to build their faith.
Education
The goals of our education ministry are to coordinate and administer strategies and programs that foster spiritual growth and discipline for all members of Highland Heights. Classes are provided from 6 months all the way up to our seniors. The teachers are members of the congregation who have chosen to share their gifts and talents of teaching for the glory of God and to help grow the knowledge of the Word in the congregation.
RISE
RISE is a group for children in 1st grade through 5th grade. The children in RISE have many opportunities to grow in the Lord and closer to their church family.
Classroom Cadets is a monthly event in which the children can practice their leadership skills such as leading a prayer, song or reading scripture, in front of an adult audience before Bible classes. Kindness Club is a monthly event in which the children have service opportunities for different groups in the church or the community to learn to be servants of the Lord and share the love of Christ. RISE also has many other activities for fun fellowship like family game and movie nights, Pumpkin Patch, Summer Olympics, and much more. Our goal is to help the children develop stronger bonds and support the parents as they raise their children in the Lord.
Girls for God
Girls for God is for our young ladies in the youth group, grades 6th through high school. The purpose of this group is to provide a safe, supportive environment in which our young ladies can learn God’s word and how it applies to their own lives, while uplifting and encouraging one another in faith.
