Highland Heights’ youth ministry concentrates on ages 6th-12th grades. Our youth have monthly devotionals together, do service projects, attend youth rallies throughout the year including CYC in Pigeon Forge every February, participate in SYS (summer youth series) at surrounding congregations, take part in a week of Bible camp in the summer, an international mission trip, white water rafting and more. Care Groups are smaller groups within the congregation at Highland Heights. They work to make sure that the needs of our members are met. The leaders of these groups encourage the group members to pray and meet needs in practical ways. Care Groups meet weekly to discuss the needs of our members and to reach out to visitors.

Bridge was formed in 2023 for adults who have left the college years behind but haven’t reached the age of our senior adult groups. Bridge gets together several times a year to fellowship, encourage and support one another through the many changes that life can bring.

Happy Hearts is our group of age 55+ members that provides opportunities for fellowship and serving others. Happy Hearts participates in many activities such as an annual Fish Fry, the General Jackson Showboat, and many other events to foster fellowship and building relationships. This ministry seeks to support the strengths, needs, challenges and roles of our Happy Hearts group.

Christians at Highland Heights conduct Bible Studies throughout the year with inmates at the Wilson County jail. The purpose of this ministry is to share the gospel message with them in hopes that they will life changes that will lead them to Christ and the life He has prepared for them. The ladies at Highland Heights are some of the church’s greatest servants. These ladies stay busy serving those within the congregation and in the community around them. They host a Ladies’ Day event every spring in which they invite a speaker for the day, have a time of fellowship and share a meal together. One weekend in the fall each year, the ladies have an annual Ladies’ Retreat at Camp Latimer which is always a special time of growing closer…

Meals on Wheels not only delivers hot meals prepared by some of our members but does so with smiles on their faces and love in their hearts. They meet every Tuesday here at the building to cook the meals that other members pick up and personally deliver to our homebound, sick or others who could use a helping hand with meals.

Project Unify is a disaster relief ministry within the churches of Christ that HH assists. The ministry brings talents from all over to serve, evangelize and help those in need when disaster strikes.

Sweethearts Banquet This is an event held in February of each year for our senior members. They are provided a nice, warm dinner and fun entertainment.  A theme is picked out for each year and the members can come dressed accordingly, like the 70’s or a Hawaiian luau. Each Thursday morning, members are invited to come to the building at 10:00 am to learn from God’s Word with brothers and sisters in Christ and fellowship with one another. Studies are offered in Fall and Spring.

VBS is held each year in June and is always a special and fun time to learn and grow in God’s Word. A special theme is chosen by our planning team and everyone works hard to make the week successful.  Once you arrive at VBS, the night is jam packed with fun songs, engaging lessons, arts and crafts, yummy snacks, games and more. The week is wrapped up on Thursday night with ice cream.

Highland Heights has an active Children’s Ministry. We offer weekly Bible classes for children 6 months to 5th grade (Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings), a staffed nursery during services (for kids 6 months to 24 months), KidSing every Sunday evening where the children gain knowledge of the Scriptures through memorization of Bible facts, and an annual VBS every summer.
