Triumphing Trials: You Are Never Alone

Triumphing Trials: You Are Never Alone

What kind of trials are you struggling with right now? What causes you pain throughout the day? What keeps you up at night? In order to triumph over the trials in your life, you must understand and trust this idea: You are never alone. If you have chosen Christ and are living faithfully to Him, the God of the universe promises to be with you always. As a Christian, you are never alone.

Do you feel like trials are overtaking your life right now? You are not alone. Psalm 46:1-3: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.”

Do you feel weak and powerless? You are not alone. Isaiah 40:29: “He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.” 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

Are you grieving and mourning over loss? You are not alone. Psalm 23:4: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

Do you have a broken heart? You are not alone. Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.”

Are you struggling with stress, worry, and anxiety? You are not alone. Matthew 6:31-32: “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”

Have you been laid off from your job? Is your life burdened by financial stress? You are not alone. Hebrews 13:5: “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”

Has fear gripped your life and paralyzed your relationship with God? You are not alone. Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Do you feel oppressed? You are not alone. Psalm 9:9: “The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.”

As you work for God, live the Christian life, and spread the Gospel in the midst of a sinful world, do you ever feel like you are completely by yourself? You are not alone. Matthew 28:20: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Do you feel like nobody understands what you are going through? You are not alone. Hebrews 4:15: “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.” Jesus understands.

Are you in need of peace and comfort? You are not alone. 2 Thessalonians 3:16: “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.”

Having dealt with past hardships and difficulties, are you in need of restoration and renewal? You are not alone. 1 Peter 5:10: “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.”

Do you want to triumph over your trials? Come to understand, learn to trust, and decide to live in response to the presence of God in your life. For those who are faithful Christians, regardless of what you encounter, here is the message: You are never alone.
